At Ashiana, our primary focus is to create intelligent, healthy, happy and well-rounded children. We achieve this by assimilating a lot of extra-curricular activities along with formal education daily.
To reinforce the need to conserve water, an informative session was conducted by Mr. Farhad who has been working on the rejuvenation and revival of traditional water and agricultural systems for over 24 years. He heads Sambhaav, an organization that works extensively in the Thar desert as well as in several states in North and Central India. The session commenced with an insight into the present grave situation of water crisis where we face water deficit. At the same time, the children were apprised with the numerous ways and means to control wastage of water. Various techniques to conserve water including age old methods of water harvesting were discussed with the children. The need of the hour is to learn from our ancient methods and get inspired to use water sustainably.
