At Ashiana, our primary focus is to create intelligent, healthy, happy and well-rounded children. We achieve this by assimilating a lot of extra-curricular activities along with formal education daily.
Ashiana Public School hosted a workshop under the initiative of Hubs of learning for all the collaborative school teachers on the topic 'Learning Disability' among children. Teachers from the host school along with faculty from the other collaborative schools viz Kundan International School, AKSIPS 45, Aanchal International School, Divya Public School, DAV Public School, Mohali, participated in the workshop making it a great event. Ms.Tanu Sharma, Special Education teacher of the school was the resource person of the day. She apprised the teachers of various kinds of disabilities present among the children now a days and how to identify them as per their learning pattern. The session also highlighted the ways in which a facilitator can deal with disabilities of various kinds. The session proved to be highly informative and enlightening for the participants as they learnt various ways to deal with the challenges faced by children with special needs (CWSN).
It is Ashiana's constant endeavour to sensitize the teachers and equip them with the ways to deal with the challenges faced by the children.
