Curriculum

CURRICULUM

The school follows the guidelines laid out by the CBSE, New Delhi. The curriculum is a synergy of sports, music, dramatics, dance and computers with a vital emphasis on academics. We give paramount importance to the students’ all round development i.e. intellectual, social, physical, moral & emotional.

We aim to ignite the spark of learning in children by making the mode of teaching child-centered and activity-based.
Preparing our students to be lifelong learners, keen collaborative learners, progressive thinkers, effective communicators and responsible citizens; Ashiana provides a conducive and stimulating environment so that every child gives his or her best and further develops an inquisitive and probing mind.

Kindergarten (Classes Pre Nursery - KG)

The youngest lot of children need a safe and secured environment, space to learn, to play and to grow. Our kindergarten faculty thoroughly enjoys the challenging task of teaching these tender minds.
A playful child-centered, and activity based process of learning, helps children develop confidence, soft skills, social skills, verbal abilities, motor skills and cognitive thinking .
A theme is adopted for the month, based on which activities are conducted, worksheets are made and information related to the said theme is imparted to the students.

Primary School (Classes I - V)

By the second phase of schooling, the thought process of the child increases, and the teaching-learning process needs to move to another level. We aim to make these years not only packed with learning but also as enjoyable as the previous years.

The students are encouraged to participate in a broad range of activities marked out for their respective age groups. Evaluation comprises of written tests, including surprise tests, activities and projects that are conducted consistently throughout the year. This makes the child constantly alert about his performance without any laxity.

Senior School (Classes VI - X)

In this phase, children are growing fast and learning faster. They are also exposed to a lot more than previous generations.
We try to encourage our students` curiosity, and stimulate their intellect. The curriculum is  formulated  to  prepare them to meet and accept the challenges of life.

Informal Interaction

The present scenario calls for not only imparting formal education to children, but also aims at the all round personality development of a child. Ashiana wishes to discover a spark in each student, and  further enlightens it so that it becomes a source of illumination itself. The child is evaluated continuously and comprehensively, which enables us to ascertain the overall performance, with regards to quantum and quality. The institution works to put the child at ease as he / she gets another home away from home where he / she can not only shed the fears and sorrows but also at the same time visualize new joys and hopes. We are constantly in touch with the parents of the students with regard to their performances, their abilities, their weaknesses and their behaviour. The parents too extend a hand of cooperation to make our joint venture successful. To further fulfil the goal of 100% personality development of a child, the school regularly invites expert counsellors to guide the students to choose and pursue a career, and also help solve the behavioural problems of children.
